Austin Huns Announce James de Lacey as Strength & Conditioning Coach

Austin, TX (September 30, 2016). The Austin Huns are excited to announce James de Lacey as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

James de Lacey is strength and conditioning coach who works with elite sports teams and athletes, primarily in Rugby League and Union. He has a Master’s degree and has published research in the ‘Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research.’

“I am delighted to have kiwi born James de Lacey as part of our management and coaching staff at the Austin Huns Rugby. He is a passionate, young, and energetic strength and conditioning coach who has a scientific approach to the game and conditioning. He holds a master of sport & exercise science and has published several articles in top sports journals. James is not only a conditioning coach; he also understands the dynamics of the game. He was involved in several professional, elite national, and international rugby players & teams in NZ and abroad” said Eugene Eloff, Head Coach of the Austin Huns.

James specializes in speed Enhancement, strength & power development, team sports performance, endurance sports performance, and weightlifting. He is currently the Head Trainer for Kiwi Ferns New Zealand Women’s Rugby League Team and is also New Zealand National Level Weightlifter. James has also worked for CSM Bucuresti (Professional Rugby Union Romania), Assistant Strength Coach New Zealand Vodafone Warriors NRL, and was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach New Zealand Vodafone Warriors Junior Academy.
